Jack-a-Pitas all in a row

I was so excited to open my email this morning and see pics of the Jack-a-Pita pups! The perfect cap on a great weekend at dog shows where daddy Jack won his first Best of Breed and also received a 4th place in the Non-sporting Group! He now has 14 points, including 1 major win toward his Grand Championship.

Just to explain, the Grand Champion title is something that the American Kennel Club, or AKC started a year or so ago to encourage people like me to continue to show their dog after receiving a title of Champion.

It is fun, you can earn points without having to be Best of Breed, you can also get points from being Best of Opposite or something new called a Select placement. I was so excited to see how many points Jack already has considering that he has only been to a handful of shows as a Special. (A Special is what you call a dog who has finished his Championship and continues to compete against other Champions).
