Almost 3 weeks!

The six porkers weigh from 32 ounces to 36 ounces. We can climb out of the pool now and a couple have learned to bark in a baby voice.

Today I will be going over to help Cynthia take out the pool and set up the pig rails in the puppy pen. I will not be seeing them again for the next two weeks as I am traveling to CA for shows. I expect that when I see them next they will be more like little dogs than little babies!

Glorious puppies!

Florence's pups are a little over a week now and all ten are doing very well. Florence is a very good mom and spends most of her time with them. She does get out once in awhile to visit with her mom Cynthia and dad Ed and her canine family, Hank and Ried as well as feline friend Idaho.

The pups had a vet visit for dew claw removal last week and were given a clean bill of health by Dr. Phil at Camas Vet Hospital.

This is a very special litter for Florence and her family. Florence was bred in May of 2015 to a dog the Murrays had some years ago. The breeding was with frozen semen on their boy Taylor. Timing is crucial on such a breeding and all of the particulars need to be in sink for pregnancy to result. Unfortunately it was not to be and Florence did not get pregnant from the breeding. But we are thrilled that the breeding to Beau was a big success!

Many of the puppies are spoken for so if you are interested in getting on our waiting list please visit www.smilingdalmatians.com and fill out the puppy application found on the Puppies page.
